I’m Adekoya Opeyemi Shakirat a devoted environmental advocate whose heart beats for our oceans, sustainable aquaculture, and the natural world. Graduating with a First Class honor in Fisheries and Aquatic Biology was not just an academic milestone for me; it was a call to action. Early on, I immersed myself in community cleanups, climate action, and sustainable development projects, experiences that taught me the power of hands-on engagement.
At Lagos State University, I had the honor of serving as the Faculty Coordinator for Campus Recycling Champions, where I organized SDG-driven initiatives that not only transformed our campus but also sparked a passion for environmental stewardship in those around me.
Now, I am diving into the world of data analytics, eager to harness technology to solve real-world environmental challenges. My dream is to one day become a professor in marine biology and run an eco-conscious farm dedicated to climate resilience and biodiversity preservation. Every step I take is inspired by my commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable future for our planet.
