Adjekota Kelly Oghenerume

I am a transformative leader who has held several leadership positions both in University campuses and Grassroots Initiatives. I was a one-time Secretary General of the National Union of Urhobo Students, Ambrose Alli University Chapter, Ekpoma, the ICT Director, National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS), Ambrose Alli University Chapter, Ekpoma, amongst other positions. During my role as the Secretary General of the National Union of Urhobo Students (NUUS); an umbrella body of over 50 million Urhobo Students WorldWide, I championed initiatives that promoted the welfare of members and also enhanced academic performance e.g the "AMG" initiative. Through this initiative, the union provided financial support to indigent and First Generation students, organized tutorial sessions for struggling students, and distributed academic materials to members. I am an International Member and Supporter, Amnesty International, and also an active participant of the Amnesty's Write for Rights Campaign. By writing letters and signing petitions, we have freed over 100 people from torture, harassment, and unjust imprisonment.
