Chinatu Iroegbu

In 2022–2023, I served as the Job Desk Editor for the Editorial Community Development Service (CDS) in Ekiti State, Nigeria. In this role, I was responsible for writing and editing employment-related news and career opportunities for publication in the Ekiti Corpers Newspaper. My work directly supported corps members by providing timely, relevant information to aid their job search and career development. Through this role, I demonstrated leadership in content curation and editorial accuracy, contributing to a publication that served as a vital resource for over a hundred youth corps members. In 2024, I was appointed the Director of Communications and Partnerships at the Double Edged Impact Network, a non-profit organisation focused on youth development. In this leadership role, I served as part of the executive team that organised the Young Men Conference 2024, which successfully hosted over 100 attendees. I led the recruitment and coordination of 20 dedicated volunteers, ensuring smooth logistics and program execution. Additionally, I managed partnerships and speaker engagements, securing sponsorships that covered over 30% of the conference budget. My role significantly contributed to the event’s success and demonstrated my capacity to lead teams, build strategic relationships, and deliver tangible results in the nonprofit sector.
