Eniola Afanu

I am dynamic individual with strong interests in leadership, health tech, management and entrepreneurship. My leadership journey at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos has been about showing up, creating change, and opening doors for others. In 2022, I served as the Academic Secretary and chairperson of the academic committee of the Students Physiological Association of Nigeria, UNILAG, where I mentored and tutored students, contributing to academic growth across different levels. In 2023/2024, I made history as the FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT of the association in over a decade where I led my executive team to implement initiatives that reshaped the association greatly. In partnership with ENOVERLAB, We secured digital scholarships worth over a million Naira for students interested in transitioning into Tech or even having a basic knowledge of it to improve the healthcare sector. I launched the first ever scholarship initiative in my department “Empower Education, Fund a SPANite” campaign to support indigent students affected by tuition fee hikes. Beyond academic support , I also community outreaches and philanthropic activities to foster social impact. I became an intentional advocate for women in leadership,mentoring, supporting, and amplifying the voices of emerging female leaders. Beyond leadership, I am an entrepreneur, I founded my own events management company, The Expression Events, where I handle planning and execution, combining creativity with strategic operations. This experience fueled my growing interest in project and operations management helping both local and international brands streamline their processes and deliver value Through all these, I am continually committed to inspiring, empowering, and building wherever I find myself either it’s through community work, innovation or entrepreneurial excellence.
