Jimoh Khadijah

Jimoh Khadijah currently works as a Clinical Research Intern at the NIHR Global Surgery Unit, Nigeria Hub, based at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). In her role, she contributes to international surgical research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes across Nigeria through data collection and management. Khadijah holds a Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) degree from the University of Lagos, where she graduated as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Nursing. She served as the 28th National President of the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students' Association (NUNSA). In this capacity, she organized several impactful activities including the 28th NUNSA Annual General Assembly and Scientific Conference, held from April 6 to 13, 2025, at the University of Lagos. This landmark event, hosted by UNILAG in brought together over 500 nursing students from across Nigeria to engage in discussions on nursing education, leadership, healthcare innovation, empowerment, medical outreach, hackathon, and professional development. The conference featured a press briefing attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Lagos State Ministry of Health, and various media partners. Under Khadijah's leadership, the event secured sponsorships from organizations such as Union Bank, Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, and May & Baker Nigeria PLC, among others. Her research interests encompass public health challenges, including studies on stigmatization, medication adherence, and resilience among individuals recently diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. She is also an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONSN), a professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in oncology nursing throughout the country.
