I am Okibe Gideon, a passionate scholar deeply committed to the transformative power of chemistry in solving Africa’s most urgent health challenges. With hands-on experience in natural product drug discovery, including research on post-COVID-19 solutions. I strive to use science to improve lives across Nigeria and beyond. As the founder of NextGen Researchers, I’m building a collaborative research community where young and aspiring scientists can thrive, innovate, and push boundaries together. I firmly believe everyone has a unique contribution to creating a better world. Currently, I am eager to pursue postgraduate studies where I can develop advanced synthetic methods to create bioactive compounds with the potential to fight diseases like malaria, cancer, and other infectious illnesses. Beyond the lab, I am a passionate public speaker invited to share insights on chemistry, personal growth, and leadership, always aiming to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential.
