Okoli, Chineye Mary-Cynthia

I am Chineye Okoli, a recent graduate of Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where I graduated top of my faculty [1 in 700 students]. I am from Enugu State, the second child and only daughter of my parents, and I am turning 25 years old this June. I consider myself many things. I am motivated, hardworking, attentive, calm, quick, intelligent, and detail-oriented, among many other positive traits. During my undergraduate program, I took my studies with utmost priority and worked hard with the motivation that my education would take me places if I did it right. I also engaged in extracurricular activities, taking up leadership roles, volunteering, especially to tutor, and attending developmental events that were hosted in my school. My current interests majorly lie in Water Resources Management. I plan to pursue a research-based higher degree so I can contribute meaningfully in that aspect. Hence, I am currently seeking knowledge and experiences that would put me on the right track in my career trajectory. I have read about the Africa Future Leaders Program and found that I stand to gain both this knowledge and a network with scholars of like minds, which I consider an invaluable asset.
