As General Secretary of my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Health and Medical community development service (CDS) group in Ojodu Abiodun local government, Ifo, Ogun State, I demonstrated proactive leadership by initiating health awareness sessions among corps members. I proposed educating our team on critical issues such as personal hygiene, blood pressure, hepatitis, and general wellness. This initiative improved our group’s understanding of public health and encouraged a culture of peer education. I coordinated these sessions during weekly meetings, ensuring engagement and participation. In addition to leading communications and documenting group activities, I supported the organization of medical outreaches, contributing to the group’s overall impact. My leadership strengthened teamwork, promoted health literacy, and empowered members to take initiative.
