As a dedicated and passionate individual, I have been actively involved in various leadership roles and positions that have equipped me with the skills and mindset to drive meaningful change. As a Core Team Member at You Drive Africa, I contributed to leadership outreach programs for secondary school students, inspiring over 1,000 students and enhancing their leadership skills. I also served as the Academic Officer for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Students Representative Council, where I coached and mentored fellow undergraduates towards academic excellence, achieving excellent results and perfect GPAs among junior colleagues. In addition to my leadership roles, I have also been recognized for my academic excellence and commitment to community service. I emerged as a Top 10 finalist in the Students Academic Excellence Award at the EDU North Summit, a premier gathering of academics and thought leaders in Northern Nigeria's education sector. My passion for public health and education has also led me to participate in various initiatives, including the War Against Rabies Foundation, where I educated over 500 pet owners and community members on rabies prevention, and the Alliance Against Antimicrobial Resistance (Triple A), where I sensitized meat traders, butchers, and ruminant owners on responsible antibiotic use and hygienic abattoir practices. Recently, I had the privilege of leading the One Health session at the launch of the Community Health Enhancement Aid Project (WARF-CHEAP) Club at Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Zaria, Nigeria. This was an incredible experience, where I empowered young minds and inspired them to take action against Rabies through interactive learning aids and student demonstrations. Through my involvement in various programs and initiatives, I have developed valuable skills and insights into effective leadership practices. I have completed the Aspire Leaders Program, a prestigious leadership program founded at Harvard University, and currently participating in the KECTIL Youth Development Program, a year-long leadership program by the Malmar Knowles Family Foundation. I have also completed certification courses in leadership, including the Leadership and Teams Course from Saylor Academy and the Short course in Leadership and Management from Oxford Home Study Centre. My leadership roles and positions have enabled me to make a positive impact in various areas, including education, public health, and community development. I have contributed to raising awareness about important health issues, such as rabies and antimicrobial resistance, among diverse audiences. I have also inspired and mentored students towards academic excellence and leadership development. Through my involvement with The Africa Education Initiative (NEF) Club, I have supported the growth and development of children at Government Day Secondary School, Bomo, Zaria, by organizing sporting events and providing educational materials. Overall, my experiences have equipped me with the skills and mindset to drive meaningful change and make a positive impact in my community.
