Yoonus Adam Oluwadamilola is a Piping and Materials Engineer working at the crossroads of advanced materials, energy storage and AI‑driven design. He graduated with first‑class honours in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, where he led research on lithium‑bearing ores, using advanced characterization techniques to understand how Nigeria’s abundant lithium resources can be better harnessed for battery applications. He is passionate about transforming Nigeria’s electricity sector by integrating robust energy storage systems into the grid, moving the country toward cleaner, more stable power, and by promoting sustainable, responsible exploitation of critical minerals like lithium. Outside the lab, Adam enjoys mentoring younger students, sharing opportunities and guidance with aspiring engineers and researchers, and unwinding over a thoughtful game of chess.
