Abdul-roqeeb Temiloluwa Solotan

My name is Abdul-roqeeb, and I was raised in a home shaped by both Christian and Muslim values — a dynamic that taught me early on how to navigate complexity with empathy and balance. This upbringing, combined with life experiences, has instilled in me a spirit of resilience, discipline, and a strong commitment to excellence. I graduated as the best graduating male and second-best overall student in my department — a reward, I believe, for years of hard work. Beyond academics, I express myself through music. I find peace in the simplicity of singing. I have also dedicated myself to service: as a wellness ambassador during my National Youth Service Corps and through my current volunteering with the Red Cross Community Development Service, supporting people in underserved communities. Currently, I am interning at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, where I am gaining vital experience that I hope to channel into creating meaningful change. I see leadership as the ability to serve with impact, and I am committed to growing into that kind of leader.
