Jude Ter Mark

I am Jude Ter Mark, a recent graduate of Petroleum Engineering from Bayero University Kano. I am passionate about Drilling and Wells Engineering and I have a strong background in data analysis and machine learning. I have consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning a CGPA of 4.50 and receiving prestigious scholarships, including the Petroleum Technology Development Fund award. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed valuable skills in data analysis, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership. Notably, I have applied machine learning algorithms to predict Rate of Penetration during drilling using drilling data from the Volve field and presented research at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Africa Regional Student's Paper Contest in Kampala. I have contributed to community development through teaching and environmental initiatives. As a young leader, I have held key roles, such as Communications Chair for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Bayero University Kano chapter, where I spearheaded internal and external communications and mentorship programs. I am committed to harnessing technology and innovation to drive sustainable energy solutions, mitigate climate change, and empower communities. I am excited to apply for the Top 100 Africa Future Leaders program, which aligns with my aspirations to make a meaningful impact in Africa's energy sector. I am confident that this program will provide me with the platform, network, and expertise to amplify my leadership skills and contribute to shaping Africa's future.
