Adanna Omeye is a Nigerian and a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where she earned a First-Class Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Her experience spans policy analysis, research, and gender development. She also holds a certificate in Gender and Development course . During her undergraduate studies, Adanna joined the Policy Analysis and Research Group (PARG), where she honed her research and analytical skills while contributing to five team projects over three years and serving as team lead. She was also an active member of the Quadrangle Seat Project by Plogging Nigeria Club, where her team creatively repurposed over 500 discarded plastic cans into a quadrangle seat for students. Adanna also served as a Project Manager at the African Economic Scholars Program (AESP), an initiative dedicated to training future policy leaders across Africa. There, she streamlined workflows and enhanced the application review process for over 1,000 aspiring scholars. As a Researcher at the Policy Innovation Centre, Adanna has contributed to many projects through conducting research on key thematic areas, and critically reviewing reports. In 2025, she coordinated and hosted a Youth Town Hall Session at the Gender and Inclusion Summit, which reshaped the mindset of youth on how to align their dreams to national interests and become change-makers.
Adanna is passionate about gender and climate change action and have plans of furthering her studies in these areas.
