I am Temechew Dessie Agmas from Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, a driven chemical engineer currently pursuing a master’s degree in sustainable energy engineering, with a strong aspiration to advance clean and resilient energy systems. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Bahir Dar University, where during my undergraduate studies I actively engaged in waste resource recycling initiatives, marking an important milestone in my commitment to sustainability and circular economy solutions. I have led projects within the Ethiopian Chemical Engineering Student Association, strengthening my leadership and teamwork skills, and gained practical industrial exposure through an internship at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. Motivated by local challenges and innovation, I founded a business producing ultrasound gel using locally sourced raw materials, demonstrating my dedication to improving healthcare accessibility through indigenous technology. My long-term aspiration is to advance sustainable energy alternatives, address critical healthcare resource gaps, and enable communities through technology and education, using engineering as a catalyst for inclusive development and lasting societal impact.
