AKEEB, Hammed Olayinka

My name is AKEEB Hammed, I am a recent first class graduate of Chemical Engineering, and speaking of my leadership skills, durning my final year as an undergraduate student, I was able to put my leadership skill into practice, durning this time i was opportune to lead a group of 5 part 3 students interested in process system engineering at the computational and simulation laboratory, department of Chemical Engineering Obafemi Awolowo University where i taught them some programming languages useful for chemical engineers like MATLAB/SIMULINK and Aspen HYSYS, also making sure they adhere strictly to the rules of the laboratory and ensure punctuality. More so, durning the COVID 19 lockdown in 2020, i had a unique opportunity to take up a leadership role at my Dad's farm, an Agro business commercialize farming with the speciality in cocoa and plantain. With the restriction of movement i was able to step in as the farm manager managing 10 staffs who carry out the day to day activities on the farm and this was done for the duration of eight(8) months Having said the above, these are the two major instances where my leadership skills have been efficiently put to use in terms of solving real life issues, and also this has enhanced my communication skills, project management and to mention few among others soft skills
