Amusan funmilayo Sarah

I'm Amusan Funmilayo Sarah, a First Class graduate of Animal Nutrition from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. My journey started with a clear vision to make the most of my education and break limits, despite challenges. I come from humble beginnings, and I’ve had to stay focused, disciplined, and prayerful through sleepless nights, tight schedules, and moments of self-doubt. I pushed through it all with resilience and a strong desire to make my family proud and impact the agricultural sector. I'm passionate about agriculture, especially animal nutrition, and I’ve gained hands-on experience in greenhouse construction, drip irrigation, and soilless farming through my involvement with Enterprise for Youth in Agriculture (EYIA). During my final year, I served as the project leader for my undergraduate research, where I successfully coordinated team efforts, managed time effectively, and ensured the smooth execution of our work from start to finish. This role strengthened my leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Although I struggle with stage fright and nervousness when speaking in public, I continue to work on my confidence and personal growth. Beyond academics, I’m also a creative fashion designer with a love for sketching, sewing, and fabric selection. I value communication, time management, and critical thinking, and I’m constantly striving to become the best version of myself. Looking ahead, I aim to pursue postgraduate studies in animal nutrition and contribute to innovative research that improves livestock productivity and sustainability. I also hope to empower young people, especially women, by sharing my knowledge and creating opportunities in agriculture and fashion. My ultimate goal is to become a change maker who bridges science, creativity, and impact.
